Poppy and Betsy - New pattern release from Violette Field Threads

Fall is in the air! Yes, even in southern CA. The kids are wearing their warm jammies at night and I had to put some light jackets in the car for our evenings out. The glittery pumpkin sign is on my front door and pumpkin cookies are on the agenda for today. I love fall so I'll grab on to whatever I can get!

Violette Field Threads released their new Cozy Autumn Collection patterns and I'm in love. It was such fun testing these and deciding on fabric choices. I knew I wanted mustard but was hoping to do something a little different with it. When I saw this double brushed poly knit with cactus I knew instantly I was going with a southwestern theme.

I just adore the sweet styling of this Poppy dress. It's so perfectly girly! The ruffled hem band and short puffed sleeves with band give a darling vintage vibe. The angel sleeve version with plain hem are very boho chic. It's such a versatile pattern with both dress and tunic lengths and allows for so much creativity in trims and fabric choices.

Betsy leggings are incredibly quick and easy to make. There are 5 different finishing options with leg ruffles or button tab and crop or full length. I made mine full length with the ruffled button tab and a yoga waist band. But there are instructions for an elastic waist also if you prefer.

I paired all of it with the Alexandra bow. Check out some more images from this shoot. Happy fall sewing!
