    Lace and outdoor summer boudoir

    Lace and outdoor summer boudoir

I love boudoir shoots but most of them don't see the light of day for obvious reasons. Many of my clients want to keep them private for their spouses, and as a wife I can appreciate that. But as an artist, its so hard for me not to share images that I love and the gorgeous women who made it happen. An outdoor boudoir shoot has been on my mind for some time and the summer is the perfect time to do it. Imagine my excitement when I had a brave willing participant to bring my vis

Hattie, a new pattern release from Violette Field Threads

When I was a teenager I had my room plastered in Coke and Elvis memorabilia. I'm not sure why, but I loved that era. I even had one of those Elvis clocks with the swinging legs. Alexandra, a new pattern release from Violette Field Threads

I'm really loving these vintage styled patterns! I introduced you to Alexandra top yesterday as Kate wore it under her Autumn pinafore. It's even more darling though as a dress. Alexandra is a drop waist dress with flat or pin tuck bodice and options for 3/4 ruffled sleeves or cap sleeve. This is Katelyn's favorite piece in the collection. She says it's so comfortable! I think it's partly due to the fact that I made it of plaid flannel, but also because of the loose fitting s

Autumn, a new Pattern release for Violette Field Threads

The designers at Violette Field Threads have been keeeping us testers busy with new fall patterns for their new Back to School Collections releasing on Wed, August 23. I don't know how they stay so creative but each collection I love just as much as the last. Autumn is a sweet vintage length pinafore with a basket weave tie back. It's perfect for layering over shirts or dresses. This is such a quick and easy sew with no zippers, buttons, or plackets. It's part of the Vintag

These are some of my favorite images I took for July for the From Where I Stand Project. It's so fun to see what these talented ladies post every week. Click on each image to see all of the photographs for that week.
